Hi,
in ubuntu 8.10 orca provides a new feature. You can enable 'speak text
under mouse pointer'
Thats a great improvement because partially sighted users can review a
window using the mouse, the magnified screen follows the pointer and
the text you can click on is spoken
(Using flat review mode, the zoomed view remains at cursor position.)
Unfortunately there seems to be a bug with most applications.
If you open an ap window, for example gedit or firefox and move the
mouse over the window, the desktop behind will be spoken instead.
The top controlpanel menus (ap, sys, places) will be spoken too,
although they aren't open.
That's very confusing and you cannot use the mouse review mode.
The single nautilus seems to work.
Is this a known bug or can anyone help me to fix this?
Tom
