Hi,
I like to use an online service called EasyNews at
http://members.easynews.com. Unfortunately, I think you may need a
membership to get to where I'm going here. In short, when you go to
one of the heaver newsgroups like alt.binaries.mp3.complete.cd, I lose
speech every time. I can't tell if it is Orca that is crapping out or
if Firefox is breaking some how. I'm using a Debian Lenny system with
the latest version of Orca and friends built this evening. Firefox
seemed to load the listing of the newsgroup but as soon as I try any
structural navigation keys, Orca goes silent. When I go over to a
virtual console, I see that Orca is still running. I kill -9 that
process number and then go back to my gnome session window and try to
restart orca with insert-f2; All I get is a "Welcome to Orca." But no
further speech. It just picks up where I left off before with no
speech. I even tried to kill Firefox in this silent period thinking I
could restart Orca then. Alas, no luck. All I could do is
ctrl-alt-backspace to kill my gnome and start over.
Can anyone else repro this problem?
