I tried Kooka with Orca speech but Kooka is not accessible.I was not in the opportunity yet to try out other options.

Does anyone know of good OCR software that's easy to use and doesn't need to be compiled? Is Kooka a good OCR program? I use Ubuntu. Thanks.
