you dont need compile that, you cant dowload de lates version to orca in .deb, for example  download that package http://http.us.debian.org/debian/pool/main/g/gnome-orca/gnome-orca_2.23.90-1_all.deb

and install ths form dpk -i gnome-orca

I try to compile the latest orca
But the initools or something are to old...
Ubuntu 8.04
