Hi. Depending on the stream and my needs at the time, I use 2 players. Try totem or mplayer.
Totem is a standard part of the Gnome desktop. Mplayer is available as a Ubuntu package.

HI all.
can anyone tell me please what application can one use on Ubuntu 8.04 for listening to streaming audio off
the internet?
I just tried doing a search for xmms but I don't think it's available anymore.
Any other orca friendly players would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
