Orca does support OpenOffice.org. You need at least 2.03 of
Openoffice.org. But you're using an old releases of both programs.
Instructions on how to get the latest Orca can be found at:

Downloads of the latest OpenOffice.org can be found at:
http://download.openoffice.org/2.2.0/index.html
But I'd ask other users of your Linux/BSD/Solaris distribution how best
to install it.
