Note slackware/gentoo/non deb/rpm distros, you will need the following
library to use ttsynth.

libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3

It is needed by all shared libraries that came in my package anyway.


Yes you are right but under debian/ubuntu the user can install
libstdc++2.10-glibc2.2
