[orca-list] Orca and sounds

HI guys

I just installed fedora 7 on my notebook, and I went to
preferences/hardware/sounds, and checked both checkboxes for software
mmixing of sound and playing system sounds.

When restarting my notebook, I can no longer launch orca, I log-in, hit
alt+f2, and type orca.

I just hear a weird system sound.  Was I wrong to enable these two
checkboxes?  I wanted to enable system sounds, and also be able to play my
music through progs in gnome.
