Hi Tomas,
When you invoke python and call 'import speechd', does that work? If
yes, do you see any suspicious messages when you run Orca from terminal
with debug level LEVEL_CONFIGURATION?
No errors when I import speechd. I also don't see any problems when
starting orca. I'll test on another machine to see if I get any
further.

Hello,
I apologize for such a newbie question, but what is the easiest way to
update firefox in a fedora installation? Currently I'm running fedora
7.0(Moonshine), I've switched to this from ubuntu, as it seems to have a
bit more functionality. I've noticed that when I'm using the release of
ff that comes with fedora that orca does not ecknowledge lninks/various
html elements on the page. Thanks for your help in advance,
Justin Mann
Justin,
You should be able to use 'check for updates' under help to update
Firefox. Orca requires Firefox3.0 so check what version of Firefox you
have using help->about. Nightly builds of Firefox can be found here
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/ . I recommend
get a version that it at least a week old. The latest version has a bug
which may limit Orca's capabilities.
Scott
