Hi all.
Orca should now indicate selected text as well as attributes in braille.
Here's what you need to know:
* You can specify your selection indicator and your attribute indicator.
The choices for each are: None, Dot 7, Dot 8, and Dots 7 and 8.
* The selection indicator defaults to Dots 7 and 8. You can change this
on the Braille pane of the Orca Preferences dialog.
* The attribute indicator defaults to None. You can change this on the
Text Attributes pane of the Orca Preferences dialog.
* For each attribute on the Text Attributes pane, you will find two
checkboxes: The first determines whether or not that attribute will be
spoken when you press Orca_Modifier+F, the second determines whether or
not text with that attribute will be "underlined" on your braille
display. Initially the enabled brailled attributes will be populated
with the same basic attributes that are initially enabled for speech.
* The selection and attribute indicators can be "combined". For
instance, if you choose an attribute indicator of Dot 7 and a selection
indicator of Dot 8 (or vice versa), selecting text that is formatted
with an attribute you are interested in will cause that text to be
"underlined" with both Dot 7 and Dot 8.
We hope you find these new features useful and look forward to your
feedback.
Thanks!
The Orca Team
