Orca firefox and reading text outside of links

Hi,

Now that I have orca, brltty, and the cepstral vioces working together,
I am interested in how to use firefox more effectively with orca.
My experience so far is that I can only read what is on the links and
not the surrounding text.

Is ther a "trick" to this?
I am using firefox 3 from the speakupmodified rpms of last Friday or
Saturday.
