Hi Michael,
try Firefox.
The version that comes with Ubuntu is 2.0, and you mustn't expect it as 
accessible as IE with Jaws or Window Eyes.
Press F7 to turn on caret browsing.
The Orca and the Mozilla team are working to make Firefox 3 accessible, but 
this version is still experimental.
You can extend 2.0's accessibility by using Charles Chen's Firevox plugin.
