Hi,
You need to turn off notification-daemon. See notification-daemon goes
out everyday and finds out if there are new packages for your system. In
order to do that work, notification-daemon is running updatedb once it
gets your updates down from the repositories and that's what's causing
this problem. It's down toward the bottom of that attachment you sent us.

Hi,
despite the fact that I've deactivated all services that have anything
to do with cron and anacron, that updatedb procedure still starts up
every morning between 10:30 and 11:30.
SD crashes and has to be restarted manually.
So I piped "ps aux" in a file I send here.
Perhaps someone finds a solution.
Hermann
