Hello,
I thought I remembered seeing something related to this online when I
was trying to find out something else in the past, so I have just had a
quick search.
Seems like for ubuntu gutsy, you should be able to specify the position
of the magnifier for the full screen, but supposedly this can lead to
some problems like the normal cursor showing as well as the enlarged
mouse cursor. Anyway this wasn't what I remembered seeing, so I looked
further and found it.
The page I am going to refer to is at
www.gnome.org/learn/access-guide/latest/sysadmin-6.html and whilst not
referring to orca specifically (in fact it is referring to gnopernicus)
I think the ideas may be valid. In short it seems to say that you should
be able to create a dummy video card in the X server, and then be able
to set the magnifiers source display to the dummy and the target display
to the real video card. I haven't tried it, but I would be unable to see
whether it actually worked. Also I guess as this was written for
gnopernicus, it shouldn't be limited to newest versions of gnome like
the other method I mentioned is.
I would be interested to know whether this works as family members may
be interested in this.
Hope it is useful.
