Hi Cody:
Unfortunately key echo is handled above the script level right now (it's
in orca.py). What's going on here is that the key being typed is what
is being echoed rather than the characters being inserted. To work
around the problem, you can press Insert+s to toggle speech on and off.

to root, linux prompts you for your root password. When you type it,
nothing physically displays on the screen, but orca still announces the
keys as you type them, even if you have key echo turned on. Can this be
