I am Punit from India. I am a software developerand new to Linux and orca. I am using ubuntu edggy. My problem is I cannot upgrade orca. My current version is 1.0.0.0. I awant to know how to upgrade orca. When i give ./configure command I get error C compiler cannot create executable. So, make install also fails. in fact I have updated my system from apt-get command. I follow all procedures explained in orca site for orca installation. I could not even installed devel package even after editing file located in /etc/apt/sources and removed # sign from that line. Please tell me what should I do. I have one suggestion. As we have brought RPM package, why can not we launce deb package. Thanks in anticipation. Regards
