Not "the" non-loopback interface, *an* non-loopback interface. If the
ioctl that lists the interfaces had happened to return them in a
different order, *I* wouldn't have noticed the problem...

Probably, that's what link_get_local_hostname() used to do
earlier. But presumably there was some problem with that, which
prompted Jules to try to fix it.
