Solved the static port issue by using: ./server -ORBIIOPIPName=0.0.0.0 -ORBIIOPIPSock=5000 -ORBIIOPIPv4=1 -ORBIIOPUNIX=0 -ORBIIOPUSock=0 Assuming that one could use the corbaloc to get references to objects now.
