At first you need to tell ORBit2 to use IP4 for service endpoints, see:
http://www.gnome.org/projects/ORBit2/orbit-faq/faq/faq.html#which_parameters_are_supported_by_corba_orb_init
Usually ORBit2 uses ephemeral TCP ports for service endpoints, encoded
in IOR (the stringifid object reference).
To get to know which port it is using it might help you to decode the
IOR using command 'ior-decode-2'.
As it is dangerous to give acces to internal CORBA services by opening
firewall port, you should care about security issues.
http://www.xtradyne.com offers consulting and solutions for enterprise
CORBA applications enabling firewall traversal and access control.
