Installation help is needed

Hi:

I am trying to compile and install the ORBit on the NCR 4400 with Unix SYSv.
As I was running ./configure, it complains about not having access to "glib"
which I assume is for GTK apps.
For what I am doing, I do not need GTK support. That is, I want to use ORBit
as a generic ORB. Is this possible?
Also, is there any command line options to ./configure that disable the
support for different locales/languages?
