hi,
 i think need some more supplement explanations, if u intend to use in-kernel  ORB in generic Distributed object service application,
that 's  not your choice(i mean the in-kernel ORBit),because in kernel space ,there are little third-party library support for your server or client
development----how could u rapidly complete a new corba server-side application? u have not posix-thread support, have not glibc,have not media 
library.etc. So, except u intend to use in-kernel ORB in some narrow domain(such as cluster or distributed filesystem), u better choice user-space ORB
implementations ,like TAO, which have many real time characteristics.
