Compiling ORBit

Hi all,

I'm trying to install GNOME on an i686-pc-linux-gnu system with kernel
2.2.16 ang glibc-2.2.4.
I'm compiling with gcc-2.95.3 patched for glibc-2.2.

I have glib-2.1.10 and gtk+-2.1.10 installed in /usr/local.
Due to the instructions from GNOME I installed:

    audiofile
    esound
    imlib
    gtk-engines

successful.

I configured ORBit with:

    ./configure --prefix=/opt/gnome --mandir=/usr/local/man
--sysconfdir=/etc/X11/GNOME --with-glib-prefix=/usr/local

Building it I get the following errors:
