With that adaptation it works like a charm. This is what it ended up
with:

$ tail -7 /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/Telenor-tilkobling 
[ipv4]
dns-search=
method=auto

[ipv6]
dns-search=
method=auto

...and connectivity to an APN that only supports IPv6 works like a
charm. Thanks!
