strange thing.. i've used the unstripped version and i get:
GNU gdb (Gentoo 7.3.1 p2) 7.3.1
.......blah.....
Reading symbols from /tmp/modem-manager...(no debugging symbols
found)...done.
is there a special configure or Makefile hook?
