I do wish NM would NOT try to help me in this way.
NM has effectively deleted /etc/resolv.com on my laptop
dozens if not hundreds of times.
It has never, ever, edited resolv.com in a way that helped.

At the very least there should be a simple option
in NetworkManager.conf to leave resolv.conf unchanged.

I keep a copy of resolv.conf and have a script to restore it,
but even so it is a nuisance to do this.
