I have Avahi installed and it's not working with it, but I didn't do any
configuration (it should not need any, right?)

Yep, on Windows I can confirm they always setup with 169.254.+ACs-ACo-
addresses.

What I just did is setting up a Wired connection with Method: Shared to
other computers in NM, and it's working.
