Compatibilities of NetworkManager plugin

Hi. Dan
I've learned that IPv6 is not provided until NM0.8. However, the stable version in Gentoo portage is NM0.7.
Most of the Gentoo users are still using NM0.7.
If I want to support IPv6 in my plugin. Will it be compatible with NM0.7? Or I have to develop two version?
