Yes, via ModemManager. But if your card only supports one serial port,
you won't get signal strength while connected. There are methods (GSM
port multiplexing) to split a single port up into multiple ports to
allow this, but that's dependent on whether the firmware at the other
end implements that standard; some do, many don't. CDMA users are
likely out of luck on this count, only one port is normally available
for AT commands while the additional ttys almost always use vendor
specific proprietary protocols that haven't been adequately reverse
engineered.
