If you select the AP you're trying to connect to from the wireless
networks menu, then you'll get a dialog that will allow you to enter
that information.  If your AP is not broadcasting its SSID, complain to
your system administrator (hiding the SSID does not increase security
[1]) and then use the "Connect to hidden wireless network" dialog to
enter the values you need.
