Well it's not different than Debian or SUSE in this regards is it?

/etc/dhcp/dhclient.conf is the _default_ location of dhclient configuration
file. In Gentoo all networking options are defined in /etc/conf.d/net where you
can specify per-interface options for all sorts of settings. dhclient specific
section looks like:

# dhclient, udhcpc and pump don't have many runtime options
# You can pass options to them in a similar manner to dhcpcd though
#dhclient_eth0="..."
#udhcpc_eth0="..."
#pump_eth0="..."

Since we don't have Gentoo specific plugin which would be able to read and
parse all Gentoo specific configuration options - we need to stick to defaults.
