Well it's not different than Debian or SUSE in this regards is it? /etc/dhcp/dhclient.conf is the _default_ location of dhclient configuration file. In Gentoo all networking options are defined in /etc/conf.d/net where you can specify per-interface options for all sorts of settings. dhclient specific section looks like: # dhclient, udhcpc and pump don't have many runtime options # You can pass options to them in a similar manner to dhcpcd though #dhclient_eth0="..." #udhcpc_eth0="..." #pump_eth0="..." Since we don't have Gentoo specific plugin which would be able to read and parse all Gentoo specific configuration options - we need to stick to defaults. Rob
