I'm not sure I'd put NM on a production server yet, but NM 0.7 does
support multiple active interfaces with static IP addresses, if your
distribution has a system settings plugin. Currently Fedora and
OpenSUSE have system settings plugins and others will hopefully be along
soon.

If your distro has a system settings plugin, you should be able to use
your normal distro config tools (for example, system-config-network GUI
tool or a text editor on /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 on
Fedora) and NM will just pick up that configuration.
