That should not be happening.  NM upstream _only_ looks for "net.80203".
It may be that your distro has patched 0.6.5, but that patch is not
upstream.

Is the lshal output below from the 0.6.5 machine, or the 0.6.6 machine?
If below is the lshal from the 0.6.6 machine, check the output from the
0.6.5 machine and compare the two.
