iwl3945 / NM / ad-hoc network

Hi,

I've been unable to set up an ad-hoc network with iwl3945 and
NetworkManager; the log file suspiciously shows a warning about setting
a blank ESSID, but I can't tell if that's really the problem or not.
Google has shown me lots of logs with a similar error.

Can anyone help?
