With 0.6, there are backends for the various linux distros that will
parse that distros native config file format and try to use static IPs
if available there. It's pretty limited though. So for example on
Fedora, if you have /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 and set
that up for static IP as normal, NM will read that file and always
connect eth0 using that static IP.
