Hello. I just submitted a bug report that I could not find. I'm evaluating laptop machines for my school that will work well with Linux. Currently I'm trying out the Dell D630 and it seems to work like a charm with one major exception. NetworkManager hangs at 28% (Configuring device) when I try to connect to our WEP protected wireless network. The bug report is here: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=528962 I also attached a comment pointing towards two reports of what I believe is the same bug in the bug repositories of Ubuntu and KDE. I think this is a NetworkManager issue and since I couldn't find anything like this for NetworkManager I decided to issue it. So my question is simple: Does anybody know why this is happening and if there is a workaround? I would very much like to recommend using the D630 and (K)Ubuntu as an official "Linux on the laptop" setup here but this is a complete show stopper for that. Kind regards, Stefan Freyr.
