I guess he means the same kind that is in Wireless Assistant. There is a
power management mode that some cards support (I'm guessing it's some
sort of standard thing for those that do) that will make them slightly
slower/less responsive, but apparently wake on traffic rather than
constantly transmitting/receiving.
