I'm trying to establish VPN connections with NM 0.6.5.
When trying to establish a PPTP VPN I get:
/usr/lib/pppd/2.4.4/nm-pptp-service-pppd-plugin.so: cannot open shared
object file: No such file or directory
When trying OpenVPN:
TLS_ERROR: BIO read tls_read_plaintext error: error:14090086:SSL
routines:SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE:certificate verify failed
Notice that the same certificates using the openvpn command are working
correctly.
These errors are my fault or known bugs?
Thank you,
G.L.

I am seeing the same thing so I tried creating a symlink to the library:
sudo ln -s /usr/lib/network-manager-pptp/nm-pptp-service-pppd-plugin.so
/usr/lib/pppd/2.4.4/nm-pptp-service-pppd-plugin.so
That resulted in this error:
sudo ln -s /usr/lib/network-manager-pptp/nm-pptp-service-pppd-plugin.so
/usr/lib/pppd/2.4.4/nm-pptp-service-pppd-plugin.so
Are you running Gutsy? If so this might be a problem with the Ubuntu
package and I will file it on launchpad.
