So do you get something like this or not?

[dcbw localhost]$ /sbin/lsmod | grep airo
airo_cs                10561  1
airo                   76513  1 airo_cs

If you just have 'airo', that's fine too.

Yes, the airo driver will work for this card.  The mpi350 specific
drivers are really, really, really old and will not work for you.  The
only driver you should be using is the 'airo' driver included in the
linux kernel by default.

So when you say that NetworkManager "fails to configure" the card, what
exactly do you mean?  What are you trying to do that is not working for
you?

Sorry for getting back late on this. I was out from email access. There are two scenarios which i have listed, both are from different locations (different wireless AP's).

Case 1:
I have a WEP enabled wireless router which requies a security key. I am using the system-config-network GUI tool to enable the wireless card on my laptop. If i dont use a WEP, on the wireless device, the current airo driver works fine.

Case 2:
However if i enable WEP on the wireless device(router), the system-config-network GUI, is not able to determine the IP address.

Let me know if you are looking for any specific information which will help me get this working.

Thanks for your help.
