NetworkManager vs system-config-network

Hi,

I have been working in peace with NetworkManager for some time, after
having a couple of problems with it. Today we had issues with the power
supply (the AP was affected by these, but not the laptop), and after
things settled NetworkManager does not want to connect anymore. I have
disabled all security on the wireless network but NetworkManager still
does not want to connect. Activating wlan0 through
system-config-network, on the other hand, gets me connected in seconds.
I attached some logs below.

I have a second laptop that was off during the power issues (both
laptops with Atheros, Fedora 8, and ath_pci module), and that second
laptop connects through NetworkManager with no problem (both with
security on and off on the wireless network).

I suspect that I need to reset something, but no clue what that is.
Would be thankful for any ideas / tips.

Thanks,
Firas.
