multiple network connections

Hi,

I am wondering if there is a possibility to have two network
connections active at the same time. I have wired + wireless card in
my laptop and I want to use wireless for internet connection and wired
to connect to my tv provider.

Usualy I don't need both at the same time, but sometimes when I am
recording something with vlc I can not use internet.
