This is just a really quick email because I am about to head out on a
short vacation, returning on Friday or Saturday, but Gentoo used to
modify all instances of com/redhat/dhcp and com.redhat.dhcp to be
org/gentoo/dhcp and org.gentoo.dhcp - this was early on, and we
weren't sure the exact purpose of them, and these patches are no
longer being applied (apologies to tOny as he sent a mail to me early
on explaining the situation, and I still didn't understand what was
meant) - Check your system for org/gentoo/dhcp and org.gentoo.dhcp -
any of those should be replaced with the originals, although, I think
you may only have the issue with dhclient-script. Either way,
replacing those should enable everything to work again. I will be
taking my thinkpad with me on my trip, and plan to look more at the
Gentoo backend as well as NetworkManager and its dependencies, to get
back up to speed. It has been a bit of a rough time in my personal
life, and I can't wait to get back to things.
