I like NM a lot but have an issue that seems as if some others have come across as well but I wanted to add one (potnetially) new piece of information. If you google on NM falling back to zeroconf ip addresses when DHCP does not complete/work after moving to a (new) network. I have found, at least on SUSE 10.1 on my Dell Inspiron 8500 laptop that I must open the console and su and then dhclient to get an IP. If I do not manually run dhclient, I will never get a usable IP.
Anyone figured this out yet? or added a script in /etc/sysconfig/ to get us over the hump?
