Yep, I'd figured that bit out. I think it's an NM version issue:
Version 0.5.1-1.FC4.4 is the latest yum-able. NM-0.7 won't install
without a major overhaul of FC4, I've had trouble with FC5, so have my
fingers (and toes) crossed for a kicking FC6....
Or should I try another distro on my Aspire 3023?

Actually, Michael will need to use the "WEP 64/128-bit ASCII" setting if
it is truly an ASCII key. Yay for WEP.
