KDE and gnome-keyring

First off this program rocks.

Second, I run kde which is preventing nm-applet from talking to
gnome-keyring (even if its running) because there is no gnome session,
so it can never remember wep keys.  Does anyone know how to run a
gnome session within kde, or at least get gnome-keyring and
NetworkManager talking in kde?  Is ther any alternative ways of
storing keys?
