NM 0.5 / dhcdbd problems

hi,

for me, NM 0.5 has not been able to connect to ap's in various
(unencrypted) environments. NM 0.4 was working just fine...
ever since upgrading to NM 0.5 i have had to stop NM and connect to
wireless networks by hand using "ifup ath0" and specifying the network
to connect to via "iwconfig ath0 ap xxx" or "iwconfig ath0 essid xxx" . 

i'm running FC4, all up2date, see below for versions and card specs and
some debugging messages. any help would be appreciated.
