NetworkManager Applet disappeared?

Hello,
I'm running Fedora Core 4 with NetworkManager 4.  Something happened that 
caused the NetworkManager applet to dissapear from my panel.  Its clearly 
running, I can see its process id, and what's really weird is that when I 
run engage (the enlightenment project's panel) the applet shows up there. 
So clearly its running and it works, but the applet refuses to show up in 
my main gnome panel...

Any ideas?
