Hmmmm. I just did that and it appears to have killed NM altogether. I've
attempted to restart the service to no avail:

$ sudo /sbin/service NetworkManager restart
Stopping NetworkManager daemon:                            [FAILED]
Setting network parameters...
Starting NetworkManager daemon: [ OK ]

$ sudo /sbin/service NetworkManager status
NetworkManager dead but subsys locked

$ sudo /sbin/service NetworkManagerDispatcher restart
Stopping NetworkManagerDispatcher daemon:                  [FAILED]
Starting NetworkManagerDispatcher daemon: [ OK ]

$ sudo /sbin/service NetworkManagerDispatcher status
NetworkManagerDispatcher dead but subsys locked

Attempting to start NetworkManagerInfo also blows up:

$ NetworkManagerInfo &
[1] 3906
(NetworkManagerInfo:3906): libglade-WARNING **: unknown property `urgency_hint' for class `GtkDialog'

(NetworkManagerInfo:3906): libglade-WARNING **: unknown property `urgency_hint' for class `GtkDialog'

** (NetworkManagerInfo:3906): WARNING **: <WARNING>       (): org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoServer raised:
 Failed to connect to socket /var/run/dbus/system_bus_socket: Connection refused

[ad infinitum until I kill it]

Suggestions?

Best, Darren
