using the latest version of NetworkManager from cvs i run into some
problems regarding apm suspend/resume.
after resuming at another place, NM will show the old network strength
and the applet will show the old network for about 25 seconds, after
that it will find the new network, trying to connect to it by selecting
it, will pop up the key dialog:
---
NetworkManager: Activation (eth2/wireless): access point 'net' is
encrypted, but NO valid key exists. New key needed.
---
canceling this request and selecting it again it will find the key,
---
NetworkManager: FORCE: device
'/org/freedesktop/NetworkManager/Devices/eth2', network 'net'
NetworkManager: Activation (eth2/wireless): access point 'net' is
encrypted, and a key exists. No new key needed.
---
and will get an ip via dhcp
---
NetworkManager: Activation (eth2/wireless): Success!
Connected to access point 'net' and got an IP address.
NetworkManager: Activation (eth2) ended.
NetworkManager: Activation (eth2) successful, device activated.
NetworkManager: SWITCH: need to associate with new access point or
create a wireless network.
NetworkManager: Activation (eth2) started...
NetworkManager: Activation (eth2/wireless): waiting for an access point.
---
but will not set ip address or default route.
the only way to get NM working again is by restarting NetworkManager
the other thing is that for some reason it thinks the Open System
authentication faild and saves Shared Key authentication in gconf.
the latest orinoco driver seems to ignore that anyway, since it still
works.
