IBMT42, kernel-2.6.10-1.741, ipw2200-0.21 wireless driver.
The CVS changes to fix the nameserver removal error made yesterday
morning by Colin worked fine. Later in the day a number of changes where
made in the src directory. Regarding these latest changes, if NM is
started with the --no-daemon option, wired and wireless networks appear
to be operating normally with NM. If NM is started as a service at boot
or after boot, NM will connect to the wired network OK. If NM is started
as a service at boot or after boot, NM will not connect to the wireless
network. It hangs just after establishing that wired and wireless
devices exist. The wireless network is not seen in the NM applet. hal
device manager shows both wired and wireless devices. Once the service
hangs, the command 'service NetworkManager stop' will not kill the hung
service. 'kill -9 pid' will kill it. The wireless device can be
configured manually without any problem and appears to be operating
normally.
