Is anybody having trouble with NM with Windows DHCP servers? NM works like a champ for me at a few of my sites. At one customer's site however, it's just irritating. I'm getting no response from the DHCP server when using NM. When I boot over to Windows, it works fine. If I disable NM and just 'ifup eth0', it works fine as well. I think if I pull the plug and put it back about a dozen or more times, it'll eventually work. One other piece, it works on the wireless side. The wireless network here is a separate subnet and a separate Windows DHCP server (or a different interface on the same one, not sure). Wierd... Attached are two captures from Ethereal; "dhcp-nm" is the unsuccessful attempt using NM, "dhcp-ifup" is the successful one using "ifup". <rhetorical>Am I nuts?</rhetorical> Any suggestion on where to start poking around would be appreciated. Paul PS: I'm running NetworkManager-0.5.1-1.FC4.4 on a Dell Latitude D600 with FC4. eth0 is a tg3. eth1 is an ipw2200. -- Paul Dugas, Computer Engineer Dugas Enterprises, LLC paul dugas cc phone: 404-932-1355 522 Black Canyon Park http://dugas.cc fax: 866-751-6494 Canton, GA 30114 USA -- On site at GDOT's W.Annex, 404-463-2860 x199 -- This e-mail and any attachments are confidential.
